Congratulations to Shane Tripp (Trumpet), Seth Barrett (Bassoon), and Olivia Bodner (Flute), who represented Southern Columbia Area and District 8 during the 2016 PMEA Region IV Band Festival held at Marywood University. The three day music festival was capped with a public concert performed in the Sette LaVerghetta Auditorium in the Creative Arts building at Marywood. The talented musicians performed eight selections ranging from Jay Bocook’s “Legacy of Honor” to Clifton Williams “Fanfare and Allegro.” Guest conductor was Dr. Ken Dye, professor of music at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Special congrats to Olivia and Seth who have qualified to perform at the 2016 PMEA All-State Festival to be held in Hershey!
