Auditions for the Anthracite Heritage Festival of the Arts Talent Showcase 2015 will take place at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, April 28th, at the Northumberland County Career and Arts Center, 2 E. Arch Street in Shamokin. Performers selected from the audition date will participate in the showcase from noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 23rd. The showcase is open to anyone residing in Northumberland County, with one to six performers permitted in each act. There are no age limits, but performers under 18 must have a signed parental consent form.Performers must attend one audition and dress rehearsal. Rehearsals will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesdays starting May 6th at the career and arts center. Participants should bring props to auditions. All performances will be given five minutes of stage time, including set up and take down of any props.
 
Thousands attend the festival annually, and it receives press coverage from multiple media outlets. Each performer will receive a certificate to document their performance. The festival does not charge admission and registration for the talent showcase is also free. Registration for auditions will be open until April 21st.
