An Athletic Hall of Fame has been established to recognize "those individuals who best exemplify what is expected of someone involved in one or more of the Tiger athletic programs." The SCA Hall of Fame will honor athletes, coaches, and individuals who "have made significant athletic contributions that brought recognition to the Southern Columbia Area School District or the school districts which united (Catawissa, Ralpho Township and Roaring Creek Valley) to form Southern Columbia."  While the SCA Hall of Fame group is independent of the School District, it was recognized at the August 5, 2019 SCA Board of Education Meeting as the group sanctioned and authorized to name individuals to a Southern Columbia Hall of Fame. According to Dave Fegley, a Southern Columbia teacher and alumnus who helped spearhead this initiative, selections to the Hall of Fame will be made by a committee of eleven members, with the first class slated to be inducted in the fall of 2020. "Each year, the nominations will be held from January 1st until the end of April," stated Mr. Fegley. "With the first class being obviously a memorable one," he added, "we have decided to open nominations beginning immediately, so the nominations for the HOF Class of 2020 will be open from now until April 30, 2020." The group is planning to launch a Facebook page beginning in October, using the social media site to post SCA HOF news and events, We wish the Hall of Fame much success and thank its members for their efforts to preserve and honor the District's rich athletic history!
