The recently-released audit of the District's finances indicated that Southern Columbia Area will continue to face challenges to operate its schools as "revenue is limited" while "many expenditures are dictated by state and federal requirements"  and cannot be reduced.  On the bright side however, it reported that "overall, revenues were slightly higher than expected, while total expenditures were lower than anticipated." It found no major fiscal problems and it listed the District's financial health as "improving." While understanding the challenges that still lie ahead, news of improving financial health is much-welcomed news!

The audit was conducted Wagner, Dreese, Elsasser and Associates and can be read by clicking the link below or by visiting the Financial Reports page of this website.
