Clyde L. Zimmerman, Class of 1971, will be honored  prior to the Tigers home baseball game vs. Columbia-Montour AVTS on Monday, May 16th in a ceremony beginning at 3:50 PM. Mr. Zimmerman was the first Southern Columbia Area student to be drafted by a Major League Baseball team. Recently, the former Tiger and Boston Red Sox player visited SCA to sit down with TigerNews anchor Tyler Keiser, Class of 2016, to share his inspirational story. Mr. Zimmerman's visit left a positive impression on all he met that day. Among his words of advice to the students were, "If you have dream, don't back away from it."
