Magisterial District Judge Craig W. Long recently visited the Eighth Grade Civics students of Mr. Marc Longenhagen to explain the role and purpose of the Magisterial District Courts in Pennsylvania's Judicial System. The study of state and local government is one of the many topics covered in the Middle School's Civics classes.  Magisterial District Judge Long presides over one of the five minor courts or "people's courts" found in the 26th Judicial District. We thank Judge Long for sharing his expertise with Southern Columbia Area's students and offering an insightful look at the state judicial system and criminal and civil law.
