On May 9th 2019, CMSU Behavioral Health, Southern Columbia, and all other schools across Columbia, Montour, Snyder and Union counties are uniting to support children’s mental health awareness by wearing green, the color of the children’s mental health support ribbon. CMSU and each of the schools will be taking internal donations, which will go towards supporting the McDowell institute. The McDowell Institute provides low cost mental health and suicide prevention trainings and education to our local communities and schools.
The community is also being asked to show their support and wear green on May 9th. Anyone who wishes to donate to the McDowell institute can do so directly at https://giving.bloomu.edu/mcdowell or calling 570-389-4059. You can also mail a check to Bloomsburg University Foundation- include McDowell Institute #54032 in the memo. Donation should be mailed to: Bloomsburg University Foundation Attn: Steph Ulmer 50 East Main St, 4th Floor Bloomsburg, PA. 17815.
