Congratulations to Coach Lanny Conner and the members of his Girls Cross Country team on winning the District IV Class A Championship! The squad ran past Northeast Bradford and in doing so became the first Tigers Cross Country team, boys or girls, to win a District championship and to qualify for States as a team. All seven runners for Southern Columbia Area finished in the top 30. "It’s incredible, ...they showed a heck of a lot of heart!," stated Coach Conner. Freshman Haley Scopelliti led the Lady Tigers by finishing third in 20:52. Senior Gabby Delbo came in 11th in 21:24, followed by Maria Maresca (freshman) placing 16th, Emily Eck (senior) 21st, Allie Willhouse (freshman) 22nd, Emily Davis (freshman) 25th and Emma Steely (freshman) 27th.
The Boys team also put in a strong showing, finishing third in the District IV Championships. Freshman, Ethan Knoebel, was the Tigers top finisher earning a trip to States by placing fifth in the Boys Class A race!  Great job runners! Good luck at States!
