Congratulations and thank you to our dedicated HART parents and friends for their efforts in seeing through the Pennies for Our Playground project! Since the fall of 2012, HART has been engaged in a campaign to raise $30,000 to purchase new playground equipment for the District's elementary students. The campaign was a tremendous success, generating $33,000. This was accomplished through penny collections, box top drives, and a variety of fundraising efforts. "This project is an awesome example of how when parents and students work together great things can happen," stated project chairperson Sherry Humphrey. " Great job HART!  Thank you for all that you do!

On Saturday April 26, 2014, approximately 40 parents, friends and staff came to G.C. Hartman Elementary to help construct the new playground. The playground features a large jungle gym with 3 slides, a rock climbing wall, and a superdome.

"Students for the next 20 years will get to enjoy this gift. We are so thankful for all the support for the past year!"- Pennies for Our Playground Chairperson Sherry Humphrey
