Southern Columbia's Cross Country program enjoyed a banner day at the District 4 Championships with all runners putting in strong performances, and two in particular, reaching heights never achieved by a Tiger "thinclad." Ethan Knoebel was crowned the District 4 Class A Champion, becoming Southern's first-ever Cross Country champion! As champion, Ethan will be advancing to state competition, the third time the junior has accomplished this feat. Haley Scopelliti also turned in a history-making performance by earning a trip to states. Haley, a junior, has become Southern's first female Cross Country runner to qualify for state competition three times. Congratulations Ethan and Haley on your outstanding performance and good luck at state competition next weekend! Congrats are also extended to SCA's coaching staff and all members of the Boys and Girls squads for your efforts at today's meet and throughout the season!
