Congratulations to Jaret Lane who was recently awarded the Schalles PA Pinner Award, which is given to the Pennsylvania high school wrestler with the highest pin percentage! Jaret pinned 32 of his opponents in amassing a 48-0 record during the 2016-2017 season, which also saw him being crowned the PIAA 2A Wrestling Champion at 113 pounds. Jaret is the first Southern Columbia wrestler to receive this award which was established in 1997. The senior student will continue his academic and wrestling career next year at Lehigh University. Until then, Jaret and his teammates will be focused on the upcoming wrestling season which opens, along with the other PIAA winter sports, on November 17th. Wishing Jaret and all other student-athletes much success in the upcoming winter season!
