In an effort to enforce social distancing and still conduct necessary business, the Southern Columbia Area School District Board of Directors will hold its June Board and Committee meetings virtually.  The public will have access to the virtual meetings through a Facebook Live feed.  Click on the Southern Columbia Area School District Facebook  page to access the meetings on the appropriate dates.  The Agendas will be accessible through BoardDocs the Friday before the meetings.  In adherence with Policy 903 Public Participation in Board meetings, public comments on action items on the School Board meeting agenda will be addressed during the Agenda Hearing Period at the beginning of the meeting.  Other public comments will be addressed during the Public Comments portion of the agenda near the end of the meeting.  Only comments from District residents will be addressed.  If you wish to make a comment, please begin your comment with your full name, and municipality (ex:  Tony Tiger, Franklin Twp.) followed by your comments.  The Board of Directors appreciates your input.  Please check the List of Events (right) for meeting dates and times.

Special Features

Southern Columbia is engaged in a yearlong initiative to Soar into Space in hopes of being chosen as a downlink site for a live feed emanating from the International Space Station. If chosen, students and staff will be afforeded the unique opportunity to speak with the astronauts currently on the space station sometime in spring 2020.
