Congratulations to the coaches and student-athletes of the Tiger Football Team on being named to the 13th Annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions, a national award sponsored by MaxPreps and the Army National Guard. The Tour of Champions recognition is considered one of the most prestigious team awards in high school sports nationwide. In order to be eligible, a team must win a state championship and be highly ranked in the MaxPreps National Rankings. For football, only 50 of the country's best are invited. According to MaxPreps, there are nearly 17,000 varsity teams competing for this honor, putting the Tigers ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents! Officials from MaxPreps and the Army National Guard traveled to Southern Columbia to officially name the Tigers to the Tour Champions during a special ceremony attended by the High School's students and staff.
