Today we pause to remember the nearly three thousand men and women who perished in the horrific terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The 2,977 victims included heroic Americans- firemen, policemen, and other first responders, as well as private citizens- who rushed into dangerous situations to aid those who were endangered by the attacks. September 11th is a day that forever changed the United States. While a somber day, it also serves as an opportunity to reflect on the resiliency of Americans and of our willingness to sacrifice and assist others in times of need.
