On Saturday, January 28th, the Boys and Girls JV and Varsity Basketball teams from Southern Columbia Area and Mount Carmel Area high schools, and their loyal fanbases, will join forces for a fifth time, in their annual, united fight against cancer fundraiser.  According to Mr. Dave Fegley, one of the event's coordinators, shirts will be sold with all proceeds going to local families who have a loved one battling cancer. "Players from both MCA and SCA will wear these shirts to warmup," stated Mr. Fegley. "All family, friends, and fans are asked to wear the shirts in the gym. The goal is to have the gym all green to show unity."  During its first four years, this joint initiative has raised over $10,000 in the fight against cancer.

This year's contests will be hosted by Southern Columbia with tip off for the first game set for 3:00 PM. All games will be played in the Charles T. Nesbitt Gymnasium.  Click here to download a Think Big t-shirt order form. Orders are due Friday January 14th (first thing in the morning) and can be returned to the High School Guidance Office, Elementary Office or Room 229.
