Congratulations to Southern Columbia Area's student athletes and coaches on being named Black Diamond Sports Network's School of the Year. According to BDSN, the award is based on titles and wins in the Heartland Conference, District, and State competitions.

Also, two members of the Class of 2016, earned Athlete of the Year honors. On June 27th, the News-Item named Blake Marks its 2015-2016 Male Athlete of the Year and on on July 3rd, the Daily Item named Haley Levan, its Athlete of the Year. Blake was a standout football, wrestler and baseball player while Haley sparkled in soccer, basketball and softball. Both students were equally successful in the classroom, graduating from SCA as Honor Graduates. Congratulations Haley and Blake on your recognition and good luck and best wishes in your pursuit of a nursing degree at Bloomsburg University!
