On January 10th, Southern Columbia Area High School's Forensics team competed in the 42nd annual Blue, Maroon, and White Tournament, the oldest continuing major high school invitational tournament in Pennsylvania. Southern Columbia Area's orators competed in a variety of contests with the following students placing in their respective categories:
 
Varsity Duo 3rd Place- Lena Becker and Aiyone Hayman
Varsity Duo 5th Place- Olivia Green and Kathy Koschoff-Rapkin
Varsity Humorous Interpretation 4th Place- Adam Unger
 
All of the aforementioned students, are juniors. Senior Thomas Marinelli competed in the category of Varsity Extemporaneous Speech, while sophomore students Angeli Sen competed in Varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate and Mary Scopelliti competed in the category of Varsity Prose.
Congratulations to all our students for a fine showing! This year’s tournament was held at Shikellamy High School and featured over 400 contestants from 32 schools.
