A unique program was established during the "Fall Sports Season" to allow senior students involved an interscholastic sport, band or cheerleading to identify a Southern staff member "with whom they have made personal or academic connection." The Senior Sentiments initiative was organized by Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Mrs. Stephanie Ziegmont, who stated the program serves "as a way to share all of the amazing connections between our students and the staff here at Southern Columbia and to promote the already prosperous Southern family atmosphere!" At the end of each sports season, a senior participant has an opportunity to honor a staff member through this program. According to Mrs. Ziegmont, after the spring sports has concluded, any senior who has not participated will have the opportunity to take part in Senior Sentiments. We are fortunate to be blessed with a dedicated staff and thank all students who participated in this inaugural Senior Sentiments effort!
