The SCA Career Development Program celebrated the grand opening of its coffee shop on Tuesday, September 6th, experiencing brisk business and many hearty compliments and well-wishes. According Director of Special Education Jennifer Snyder, the coffee shop will be managed by the students and staff of  the specialized transition program and is designed to  provide students with opportunities to take concepts and skills learned in the classroom curriculum and apply them to an actual work setting.  The coffee shop is located in the HIgh School Art Gallery/Old Gym Lobby area and is open to Southern Columbia Area students and staff from 7:30 AM through First Period of the HS/MS bell schedule. The shop offers a variety of coffees, hot chocolate, and tea.
