Students have been actively engaged in the implementation of new equipment and learning tools recently added to the District's classrooms through this summer's energy project and the awarding of a Merck and Title IV grant. Students enrolled in SCA's Musical Production/Tech Theatre course taught by Mrs. Letha Stone, are receiving ongoing training in use of the Auditorium's new light and sound control systems from professional technicians and will be using this knowledge to complete course requirements and to assume leadership roles in the technical planning and support of school assemblies. Meanwhile, Ecology students are busy assembling a 200 gallon aquaponics system which will provide them an opportunity to grow fish and plants while enhancing their knowledge of Math, Science, Biology, Chemistry and Technology.

Zach Honabach, Franklin Brassard, Emma Steely and Lauren Long take a break from the lighting control training provided by a Eslinger Lighting technician.

Below, Ecology students assemble the aquaponics system under the watchful eye and facilitation of their teacher, Ms. Kristen Vitkauskas. Also pictured are Derek Hernandez, Max Yen, Jonathan Knisely and Sean Richendrfer.
