Southern Columbia Area students competing in the 2016 Regional Middle School Fair captured two First Place awards and have advanced to the state computer fair competition to be held at Dickinson College in May. Congratulations are extended to Kayla Hauer who designed the winning Computer Fair Logo and the team of Nathaniel Hicks, Erick Shufeldt and Mikaela Brouse whose Groomaniacs project won first place in the Graphics Design category!

This year's Regional Computer Fair, like all since 1998, was hosted by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU). After spending months creating their projects, students competed against peers from neighboring schools, and in some cases, against their own classmates .Judges from the technology field spent two hours evaluating the projects before the winners were declared. All participants were provided with feedback, and first-place winners can incorporate judges' suggestions into their projects before moving on to the state competition. Nice work Kayla, Nate, Erick and Mikaela and good luck at the state fair!
