The Southern Columbia Area Football Team has been nominated by USA TODAY to compete in the newspaper's 2014 Best Football Program contest. There will be three rounds of voting by the public to determine the ten best football programs in the nation. The athletic department of the winning school will receive $1,000. Second place will receive $500 and third place will receive $250. All 10 finalists will receive banners for their schools. 
Voting for Round One (this is a state competition) is now open and will end at 12:00 noon (E.T.) on November, 19, 2014. The school receiving the most votes in each state will advance to the Regional Round, along with the next top five football programs that received the highest number of votes, but did not win their state or Washington, D.C.
Voting is open to all individuals who are legal residents of the U.S. or District of Columbia and who are 13 years or older at time of voting. You can vote as often as you like. To cast a vote for the Tigers please visit the following link:
