Congratulations are extended to Kent Lane (junior, 138), Todd Lane (freshman, 120) and Blake Marks (sophomore, 152) who all won silver medals at the 2013-2014 PIAA Class AA State Wrestling Championship.  The students and their coaches represented Southern Columbia Area extremely well and are to be commended for their outstanding accomplishment!  Wrestling great Dan Gable once stated, “More enduring than any other sport, wrestling teaches self-control and pride. Some have wrestled without great skill- none have wrestled without pride.” This trait-pride- was very evident in these three student-athletes throughout the state tournament. We thank Kent, Todd and Blake for their efforts and encourage them, and all our students, to keep working hard in all that they do!
