The first Fresh Food of the Month event for the new school year will take place today during all K-12, lunches and it will feature a water melon salad with micro greens, feta cheese, and poppy seed dressing. The fresh food was grown on local farms with the watermelon coming from Adams Family Farm and the micro greens from Lakeview Specialty Produce. The food item is free to all students and staff with costs underwritten by the National Farm to School Network with a generous donation by the Walmart Foundation.
