It's Showtime!

The talented cast and crew of Southern Columbia Area's Music Department and Encore will provide a weekend of "irreverent fun for the whole family" with four performances of Shrek the Musical, a hilarious storybook adventure based on the story and characters from the 2001 DreamWorks Animation film, and William Steig's 1990 children's book, Shrek!

Students Organize Solemn Tributes

Southern Columbia High School and Middle School students paid tribute to the victims of the Florida shooting in a solemn and respectful way by setting up a display of remembrance consisting of seventeen roses along with the names and ages of those who perished.

Senior Leads Solid Gold Effort!

Congratulations to Jaret Lane, Class of 2018, on winning a Gold Medal at this year's PIAA 2A Wrestling Championships! The Gold Medal was Jaret's second consecutive, allowing him to become Southern Columbia's first four-time State Medalist and the school's second, two-time, State Champion!

Tickets for Encore's production of Shrek the Musical will remain on sale through next week, however seats for the four shows are filling fast.

JH Wrestlers Shine at States!

Southern Columbia's Junior High Wrestlers turned in outstanding team and individual performances at the 2018 Pennysylvania Junior Wrestling State Championship, coming home with four medal winners and recognition as the tournament's top AA team. Winning gold medals and being crowned PJW State Champions were Gavin Garcia and Kole Biscoe.

Seven Wrestlers Advance to PIAA Championships!

Congratulations to Connor Fulmer, Jaret Lane, Anthony Scicchitano, Lear Quinton, Gaige Garcia, Cade Linn, and Patrick Edmondson who advanced from the Northeast Regional Class AA Tournament, earning a trip to States!

Girls Crowned District IV Champs!

Congratulations to the coaches and players of the Girls Basketball Team on winning the PIAA District IV AA Championship! The Tigers defeated South Williamsport 46-32 to win the crown, the program's first since 2003! Great job Lady Tigers- wishing you continued success in upcoming State playoffs!

Congratulations to Band members Nathan Hunsinger, Breanna Burd, and Emma Rosko who were selected to represent Southern Columbia Area at the 2018 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 8 Band Festival held at Mansfield University. The talented musicians were selected to District Band after completing a successful audition for this honor.
