Seth Barrett Wins Teen Star Competition!

Congratulations to Seth Barrett, Class of 2018, who won First Place Instrumentalist in the 6th Annual Teen Star Musical Competition sponsored by First Columbia Bank. In winning the competition, Seth received a $1,500 monetary award from the Bank. It's been a banner year for Seth.

Online Registration for Fall Sports and Sports Physicals Now Open

Beginning with the 2016-2017, fall sports season, Southern Columbia Area will use FamilyID to streamline the PIAA sports enrollment and sports physical process. All School District forms, and the majority of PIAA forms, will be filled out online and signed electronically. The only exceptions to this are the Health History and Medical Examiners sections of the Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) form.

Relay for Life Engages All in Fight Against Cancer

Once again the SCA Relay for Life Committee did an outstanding job providing opportunities for all stakeholders, young and old, to engage in the fight to end cancer.

Spring Concerts Herald the Approaching End of Another School Year

Congratulations to our talented musicians, and equally talented teachers, for another enjoyable Spring concert season. Over the past few weeks, we have been treated to entertaining concerts performed by the Middle School Band and Chorus and the High School's Jazz Band, Gospel Choir and Senior High Band and Senior High Chorus.

Junior High Girls Soccer Team Wins Frank Fullmer Memorial Tournament Championship!

Congratulations to the Junior High Girls Soccer Team on winning the Championship of the Frank Fullmer Memorial Tournament this past Saturday.  The girls defeated Montoursville, Midd West, Mifflinburg, Warrior Run, and Midd West again on the way to a 5-0 record and their second consecutive championship.  Morgan Marks led the way in scoring with 4 goals, Hailey Ciocco scored 2, and Hannah Kleman, Kiersten Brecht, and Maggie Morrison each scored one.  The

Senior Class Makes Donation to SCA

Southern Columbia Area High School's Class of 2016 has decided to forgo a class trip and instead will donate money they have raised through the years to their soon-to-be alma matter. The Senior Class recently voted to donate $2,500 to the High School which will be used to purchase three large screen digital displays to be placed in the Charles T. Nesbitt Gymnasium lobby, the Old Gym lobby and the High School Cafeteria.

Second Grade Students to Present Arf!

The Second Grade students of G.C. Hartman Elementary, under the direction of Music Teacher Monna Tomtishen, will be presenting Arf! A Canine Musical on Thursday, May 12th beginning at 6:30 PM in the High School  Auditorium. We hope you are able to attend and see the young performers take center stage in what will surely be an entertaining show!
