The Tiger Football Team faced a formidable opponent, but the team remained focused and systematically worked their way to a 49-14 victory over Wilmington Area in the 2018 PIAA 2A Championship! Congratulations to Coach Roth, his staff and the student-athletes of the Football Team on winning the State Championship!

Students Seek to be the "Grinch for Good"

This holiday season G.C. Hartman students are being challenged to support the Catawissa and Elysburg food banks through a food drive that will last until Wednesday, December 12th.

Gatorade Player of the Year

Congratulations to Julian Fleming, Class of 2020, on being named Gatorade Pennsylvania Football Player of the Year. Now in its 34th year, the award recognizes outstanding athletic excellence and high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field.

Pep Rally Fit for a King Sends Tigers to Hershey!

A spirited district-wide pep rally attended by over 1,300 students and staff was held today to honor the Tiger Football Team who will be playing for the PIAA 2A State Championship tomorrow afternoon against Wilmington Area High School.

School Board Reorganization Meeting

At the 2018 Reorganization Meeting of the Southern Columbia Area Board of Education, its members elected officers who will lead them for the next twelve months  Mike Yeager was elected President and Tim Vought was elected Vice-President. Congratulations and many thanks to Mr. Yeager and Mr.

If you can't make it to Hersheypark Stadium for Friday's State Championship Football Game, you can still follow the action and root for the Tigers in a variety of ways. The  game will be televised on PCN TV which is available on most Pennsylvania cable tv systems.

Tigers Advance to State Title Game!

Congratulations to the Tiger Football Team who defeated West Catholic High School 42-6 earning the storied program a record 17th trip to the PIAA Football Championship Game. The State Championship game will be a rematch of last year's PIAA 2A contest with Wilmington High School advancing in the West.

Alumni Help Guide Students' Career Pathways

Twenty-five Southern Columbia alumni returned to their alma mater on Friday, November 30th to participate in the Second Annual Alumni Career Day organized by the Southern Columbia Community Foundation. Representing a variety of careers, the alumni met with freshmen, sophomore and junior students in a career fair format held in the Nesbitt Gymnasium.

Middle School Hosts Holiday Tradition

The Holiday season at Southern Columbia was ushered in with the celebration of the 12th Annual Senior Citizen Holiday Dinner. The event was attended by 155 guests who were treated to dinner and an evening of holiday music performed by the High School's Gospel Carolers and Brass Ensemble.
