Voluntary Online Kindergarten Registration Available

Parents and guardians who are scheduled to register their child for Kindergarten can get a head start on the process using the District's online registration portal. In order to use the online system you will need to create a registration account.

Looking for SCA Teen Stars!

Registration for the 6th Annual First Columbia Teen Star auditions is now open! Following the auditions, twelve individuals will advance to the final event and two Teen Star Winners will be chosen – one as top vocalist and one as top instrumentalist! Each First Place winner will receive $1,500.

π Day Highlighted by Students Engaged in Collaborative Lessons

On Monday March 14th, in recognition of Pi Day, Third Grade Math students joined with Miss Jen Stine's High School Geometry students, to engage in a collaborative exploration of the number Pi.  Pi Day is an unofficial holiday that celebrates the mathematical constant pi (π).

G.C. Hartman Celebrates Read Across America

In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday, G.C. Hartman Elementary students and staff celebrated with weeklong “Read Across G.C. Hartman” festivities. To promote the joy and love of reading, students and staff took part in special theme days and welcomed many guest readers into our classrooms throughout the week.

Annual Volleyball Tournament a Fun-Filled Success!

The annual Volleyball Tournament sponsored by the Southern Columbia Area High School's Physical Education Department was a great success, once again serving up plenty of fun and exercise! According to event organizers Mrs. Claire Campbell and Mr. Ted Deljanovan, the action was "highly contested" with ten teams in three separate divisions participating. The winning teams played through a bracket to capture the tournament title.  Congratulations to this year's winning teams and to all participants!

Pennies for Patients Campaign Surpasses Goal!

The students and staff of G.C. Hartman Elementary Center recently completed a successful campaign to raise funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Pennies for Patients." Charged with a goal of raising $4,000, the G.C. Hartman school community was up to the challenge and raised an amazing $4195.94!
