Fall Sports and Band Activities in Full Swing!

Once the dismissal bell rings endling classes for the day, Southern Columbia Area's campus remains abuzz with the sounds of music and competition as nearly 400 students in grades 7 to 12 remain at school each day to participate in Fall 2016 co-curricular, extra-curricular, and interscholastic activities.

Fresh Food of the Month Returns this Wednesday

The first Fresh Food of the Month event for the new school year will take place Wednesday, September 21st during all K-12, lunches and it will feature fresh sweet corn grown on the Adams Family Farm.

Never Forget

Today we pause to remember the 2,977 people who perished in the horrific terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The victims included heroic Americans- firemen, policemen, and other first responders, as well as private citizens- who rushed into dangerous situations to aid those who were endangered by the attacks.

Student-Run Coffee Shop Now Open for Business!

The SCA Career Development Program celebrated the grand opening of its coffee shop on Tuesday, September 6th, experiencing brisk business and many hearty compliments and well-wishes.

Color Run to Benefit District's SWPBIS Efforts!

Southern Columbia Area's Schoolwide Positive Behavior Team is sponsoring a 5K Race and a 1.5. mile Fun Run with both events promoting and benefitting the District's schoolwide positive behavior efforts. The My School Color Run will include a timed 5k race and a 1.5 mile untimed  junior fun run. Participants can run, walk, and/or jog while raising funds for our school!

Registration and Paperwork Due for Fall Sports

Registration and paperwork for fall sports are due prior to the first day of practice.  If your child is playing a fall sport and you have not yet registered your child through FamilyID, please do so immediately.  Family ID can be accessed through the District's Athletic webpage by clicking on Sports Registration.  The required paperwork can be mailed to the Athletic Trainer, Tim Jurnak at the High School's address or if you would like to hand deliver it personally, Mr.
