Once again, the Senior Class and the High School Art Club are joining forces to help combat local hunger through a community service project known as the Empty Bowls. The students intend to raise funds which will be donated to the Manna for the Many, a Shamokin-based, food bank. The students are currently selling $5.00 tickets for the Third Annual Empy Bowl Fundraiser which will be held on Sunday, March 29th in the High School Cafeteria from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Southern Columbia Area High School's Forensics Team turned in another fine showing, this time excelling at the 2015 PHSSL District 9 Tournament. At the District tournament, the Duo Interpretation team of Lena Becker and Aiyona Hayman finished second in that category, as did Adam Unger in Humorous Interpretation.
