2nd Grade Performance of "ARF"

2nd grade will be performing the musical "ARF" on Thursday, May 12th in the high school auditorium. The performance will begin at 6:30 p.m.
 

Summer Work Available for Students

The District is now accepting applications for summer student custodial workers.  These jobs are open to all students ages 14 and older.   Employment will begin following the last day of school and will run Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-2:00 pm.

PSSA Idol Inspires Students!

Each year, G.C. Hartman Elementary Center kicks off the statewide assessments with a fun-filled and highly-entertaining variety show which features the school's teachers and staff as the main acts!

Art Show to Showcase K-12 Student Work!

The annual District Art Show hosted by teachers Mrs. Tia Brown and Mrs. Casie Baker will be held Monday, April 25th with the students' artwork on display in two locations.

The K-12 District Art Show will be held this evening with student work displayed in two locations. The K-4 Art Show will be held at the G.C. Hartman Elementary Center from 6:00-8:00 PM and the Grades 5-12 Art Show will be held in the High School's Zambor-Schuerch Art Gallery from 5:00-7:00 PM. 

Mr. Longenhagen Named Junior High Coach of the Year

Congratulations to long-time teacher and coach, Mr. Marc Longenhagen on being named the AA Junior High Coach of the Year by the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association! In addition to this statewide honor, Coach Longenhagen was named the PIAA District IV Junior High Coach of the Year.

Book Fair for Pre-K through Grade 8 Students

Southern Columbia Area's Annual Book will begin today and last through April 26th. The Book Fair will be held in the G.C. Hartman Elementary Center Library and will be open during regular school hours on April 19-22 and April 25-26. In addition to these hours, the Book Fair will also be open from 6:00-8:00 PM during the Family and Community Night scheduled for April 25th.

Middle School Student Selected for String Fest

Congratulations to Chase Petro who was selected to perform at the 2016 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Region IV String Fest recently held at Berwick Area High School.

Applications for the SOCO Kids Coding Camp will be accepted through Monday, June 3rd. The summer camp is open to rising 2nd through 6th grade students and will be held July 9-11 and July 16-18 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day.
