Jim Holler, an internationally known Crimes Against Children Consultant, will be presenting a powerful one-hour educational training program to parents. All parents from surrounding school districts are encouraged to attend and gain critical information to protect you and your children from cyber harm. No registration required. Southern Columbia Area's Wellness and Farm to School Initiative and the planned security upgrades at G.C.Hartman Elementary School were recently featured by the Shamokin News-Item newspaper.

New Teachers Welcomed!

The Southern Columbia Area School District extends a warm welcome to the following teachers who will be joining SCA's instructional staff in 2016-2017: Katherine (Nolt) Peachey, Middle School English, Stacey Hochenbroch, Fourth Grade, and Cassandra Gum, Elementary School Emotional Support/Special Education. Summer Accolades for Student-Athletes and Coaches

Congratulations to Southern Columbia Area's student athletes and coaches on being named Black Diamond Sports Network's School of the Year. According to BDSN, the award is based on titles and wins in the Heartland Conference, District, and State competitions.

My School Color Run to Benefit SCA's Schoolwide Positive Behavior Efforts!

Southern Columbia Area's Schoolwide Positive Behavior Team is sponsoring a 5K Race and a 1.5. mile Fun Run with both events promoting and benefitting the District's schoolwide positive behavior efforts. The My School Color Run will include a timed 5k race and a 1.5 mile untimed  junior fun run. Participants can run, walk, and/or jog while raising funds for our school! The color run is open to all Southern Columbia Area supporters!

Printer Sale

Printers used throughout the District are being taken out circulation and will be put up for sale on July 21st and July 22nd. While the printers are in working condition they are being sold "as is." The printers will be on display and sold in the High School from 8:00 AM- 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 21st and from 8:00 AM until 12 noon on Friday, July 22nd.

Credit Recovery Courses Begin Today

Middle School and High School credit recovery courses will be held Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 AM until 11:30 AM. The courses will run June 13th through June 30th. Successful completion of Summer School will result in a passing mark for the course. Please contact your child's school for more information.
