Good luck is extended to the Tiger Baseball Team who will open District 4 Playoff action with a home game against Bloomsburg Area High School. First pitch is 4:30 PM.

Track and Field Athletes Qualify for States!

Congratulations are extended to the following student-athletes who have qualified to compete in the PIAA 2A Track and Field Championships to be held May 25-26th at Shippensburg University: Ethan Knoebel, 800m and 1600m;  Brant Long, Pole Vault;  Kari Cambria, 100m hurdles; and Hanna Davis, 400m.

A Special Board of Education meeting for general purposes will be held this evening at 6:00 PM in the District Office Conference Room. This meeting will be followed by the June Facilities and Finance Committee Meetings. The public is welcome to attend.

Tigers Demonstrate Pride, Joy and Athletic Prowess at Spartan Games

Southern Columbia students trekked to Fountain Springs, Pennsylvania to participate in the 2nd Annual Spartan Games hosted by the North Schuylkill School District. The Spartan Games, similar to the Special Olympics, showcases the abilities of students with intellectual disabilities as they engage in competitive athletic contests.

The Collective Bargaining Agreement recently approved by the Southern Columbia Area Board of Directors and the Southern Columbia Area Education Association has been signed by the presidents of both groups, making the deal official.
