Draft Comprehensive Plan and AFR Available for Review

Recently, two important documents were uploaded to the District's website- the draft version of the Comprehensive Plan and the Annual Financial Report which has been submitted to PDE.

Parents Encouraged to Participate in Annual Survey

Southern Columbia Area parents and guardians are invited to share their ideas about the use of technology for learning by participating in the annual Speak Up survey sponsored by Project Tomorrow.

State Cross Country Championships This Morning

Good luck and best wishes are extended to senior, Colin Dudanowicz, who will be competing in the PIAA Class A State Cross Country Championships today. Colin's race will begin at 11:45 AM and will be run on the  Parkview Cross Country Course in Hershey.

 

Girls Soccer Team Competes for District Championship!

Good luck is extended to the Girls Soccer Team who will compete for the District IV Class A Soccer Championship! The Tigers will take on Warrior Run this evening, in an 8:00 PM match to be held at Millville Area High School.

Special Agent Holter to Visit SCA's Schools

Special Agent Janene Holter of the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office will hold special assemblies for students in grades 6 through 12 speaking about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. Special Agent Holter will also visit the K-5 classrooms and deliver age-appropriate anti-drug messages to these students.

Veterans Day Invitation Extended to SCA Alumni and Residents who are Veterans or Active Military

The Southern Columbia Area High School will hold its annual Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11th in the High School Auditorium.  As is tradition, any alumnus and/or resident of the Southern Columbia Area School District who is a veteran or  who currently is serving in the military, is invited to attend a luncheon of appreciation and the Veteran's Day Assembly. All guests will be recognized at the assembly. The assembly will be held at 1:15 PM, preceded by the luncheon at 12:00 noon.  The luncheon will be held in the lobby of the Charles T.

Special Features

Southern Columbia is engaged in a yearlong initiative to Soar into Space in hopes of being chosen as a downlink site for a live feed emanating from the International Space Station. If chosen, students and staff will be afforeded the unique opportunity to speak with the astronauts currently on the space station sometime in spring 2020.
