Happy Presidents' Day!

Presidents’ Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. Originally established in 1885, in recognition of President George Washington, it is still officially called “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government.

Student-Initiated Community Service Group Forms

Recently, three members of the Class of 2018, Elijah Hoffman, Kristin Kremser, and Eli Yemzow, met to discuss ways to encourage more volunteerism and community service among their peers.

Students Selected to District Band

Congratulations are extended to Nathan Hunsinger, Breanna Burd, and Seth Barrett who were selected to represent Southern Columbia Area at the 2017 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 8 Band Festival.  Students in grades 9-12 who are members of their school band may audition for a place in the District Band.

Wrestlers' Bronze Medal Marks Historic Finish

Southern Columbia Area's Wrestling Team capped a very successful PIAA Class AA State Duals Tournament, finishing 5-1, earning the program's first state medal!

Congratulations are extended to Logan Bittner, Sheila Brassard, Fran Forti, Zach Honabach, Brian Sevison, Jake Stahley and Casey Winter who  were selected to represent Southern Columbia at the 2017 PMEA District 8 Chorus.

Good luck is extended to the Tiger Wrestling Team as they continue their PIAA AA Duals playoff run with a 9:00 AM match against Chestnut Ridge. This is a Consolations Round Quarterfinal match with the Tigers shooting for a Bronze Medal. Good luck Tigers!
