Mega Force Delivers Powerful Lessons

Steve Carrier will bring his Mega Force program to Southern Columbia Area on Friday, March 22nd to encourage students to make right choices, and to be a 'Dream Maker, not a Dream Breaker!' Steve travels throughout the world and will speak to over half­ a million students this year alone! His program calls for him to demonstrate feats of strength while conveying important life lessons to audience members.

Board of Education Meeting Still On

This evening's Board of Education meeting will be held with some revisions to the agenda and meeting place. The student and staff presentations planned for this evening have been postponed until a later date. The meeting has been moved back to the District Office Conference Room. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. The public is welcome to attend.

Student Artwork on Display this Morning

Southern Columbia's Annual K-12 Art Show will be open to the public this morning from 9:00-11:00 AM. The student creations are being displayed in the Zambor-Schuerch Art Gallery which is located in the lobby area of the Old Gym. 


Grease Rocks SCA with Outstanding Production

Congratulations to Mrs. Letha Stone, the Music Department, and the cast and crew of Encore for their "gangbusters" performance of Grease! The energetic and talented high school musical troupe provided an entertaining, fun-filled look at the trials and tribulation of teenage life as experienced by the seniors of Rydell High's Class of 1959.

Students Perform in Region Band

Congratulations to Nathan Hunsinger and Emma Rosko who were selected to represent Southern Columbia Area at the 2019 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Region Band Festival held at Lewisburg Area High School. Emma placed 2nd on Cornet III and Nathan placed 1st on Tuba. Nathan earned an opportunity to be a part of the PMEA All-State Concert Band.

Applications for the SOCO Kids Coding Camp will be accepted through Monday, June 3rd. The summer camp is open to rising 2nd through 6th grade students and will be held July 9-11 and July 16-18 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day.
