Visitor Management System to be Implemented

Beginning March 5, 2018, Southern Columbia Area will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System to track visitors, contractors, and volunteers in our schools. This initiative is being funded by a Pennsylvania Department of Education Safe Schools Grant and is designed to provide a safer environment for our students and staff.

Blind Date with a Book!

February is Library Lover's Month and to celebrate, HS/MS Library Manager Mrs. Amanda Noblit has created a Blind Date with a Book.display that has proven to be a literary matchmaker for numerous Southern Columbia students! According to Mrs. Noblit, the books on display are decorated with wrapping paper, hiding the book’s title and author.

Tigers Rise to Silver Finish!

The Tiger Wrestling Team ended the PIAA 2A Duals Championship with a Silver Medal, earning statewide praise for the grit and determination they displayed throughout the team wrestling tournament! The Tigers finished the team phase of their season with an impressive 22-1 record and as Pennsylvania's second-ranked 2A team!

Shrek Tickets Now On Sale Online and at HS

Tickets for Encore's production of Shrek, The Musical are now on sale! Tickets can be purchased online or at the "box office" which will be open for business in the HS Auditorium Lobby, Saturdays from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, and Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Unique Food Drive Set to Begin!

A monthlong food drive will pit grades 5 through 12 in a contest to see which group of students can collect the most non-perishable food. Winning the contest has one qualifier- the amount of food collected must outweigh High School Principal Mr. Jim Becker!

Wrestlers Compete for State Title!

Football Championship Clothing Sale Today

State Championship Football clothing will be on sale today from 9:00 AM until noon in the Charles T. Nesbitt Gymnasium lobby (new gym).  Short and long sleeve t-shirts, crew neck sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, hats, and many more items, all in in a variety of designs and colors, will be on sale.
