Kindergarten Registration

Kingergarten Registration will take place April 1 through 5, 2019, by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling the elementary office.  Parents need to complete the online portion of the registration process prior to the registration appointment. Fresh Food of the Month Features Hot Chocolate

January's Farm Fresh Food is hot chocolate!  Hot chocolate made with reduced fat milk provides calcium, vitamin D, and other essential nutrients while warming you up on a cold day. The Wellness Committee will serve the delicious, heated drink during today's lunch periods.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” In recognition of Dr. King’s legacy of service to all, Congress designated the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday as a national day of service in 1994. Taking place each year on the third Monday in January, the MLK Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service – a “day on, not a day off.” The best way to honor Dr. King is through service and volunteering in our communities. District Award PAsmart Grant

Pedro Rivera II, Secretary of Education recently announced that Southern Columbia was among Pennsylvania's schools who were awarded a PAsmart Targeted K12 Computer Science and STEM Education grant in the amount of $35,000.
