Title I Summer Reading Program

A Title I Summer Reading Camp for elementary students will be offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM until 11:30 AM beginning today and concluding July 28th. The program is designed to help students maintain their reading skills during the summer months and to prepare them for the upcoming school year. For more information, please contact G.C. Summer Semester Courses Begin Today

Southern Columbia Area High School students have the opportunity to work ahead and earn high school credits during the summer months. The summer POD and Statistics courses will begin today and continue for the next six weeks.

Board of Education Meeting Tonight

The Southern Columbia Area School District Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting for general purposes beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the District Office Conference Room. The public is welcome to attend.

Policy Committee will Meet Tonight

The monthly Policy Committee Meeting will be held this evening at 6:00 PM in the District Office Conference Room. This committee meets the second Monday of each month. The public is invited to attend.

Honor Graduates Recognized

Among the students recognized at the 2016 commencement exercise were twenty-six students who earned the distinction of being named an Honor Graduate. In order to receive this honor, students must complete ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade with a 95% or higher average.

Applications for the SOCO Kids Coding Camp will be accepted through Monday, June 3rd. The summer camp is open to rising 2nd through 6th grade students and will be held July 9-11 and July 16-18 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day.
