POD Students Benefit from Financial Literacy Program

First Columbia Bank recently announced that they certified 157 students in financial literacy during the 2013-2014, school year, through the First Columbia Bank Financial Scholars Program.

HS and MS Recognized by Project Tomorrow

Southern Columbia Area High School and South Columbia Area Middle School were recently recognized for their efforts in using 2013 Project Tomorrow Speak Up Survey data to help make informed decisions. SCA school leaders used the survey results to help make curriculum and budgeting decisions including the viability of implementing a 1:1 laptop program in the High School and to gauge student interest in creating a Middle School STEM elective course.
