PA Department of Health- EBOLA Health Advisory

Ebola is a severe, often deadly illness that affects humans and non-human primates like monkeys, gorillas and chimpanzees. History’s worst outbreak of the disease is occurring now in West Africa and the U.S. recently had its first travel-related case of Ebola in Texas.  It is a reality that more cases could be confirmed in other states – including Pennsylvania.

Please review the symptoms below and seek medical care if someone experiences these symptoms after traveling to the U.S. from West Africa or has been exposed to someone who has traveled to West Africa recently.

Have you been to West Africa in the last three weeks?
Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms:
-Fever
-Severe headache
-Muscle Pain
-Vomiting
-Diarrhea
-Stomach Pain
-Unexplained bleeding or bruising

If so please contact your healthcare provider immediately or call 1-877-PA-HEALTH
