The December 3, 2001 Board Meeting of the Southern Columbia Area School District Board of Directors convened at 7:17 p.m. in the High School Library with President Craig Roadarmel in charge of the meeting.

 

Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.

 

President Roadarmel welcomed everyone followed by a roll call of Board Members.

SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT

Dr. Dubil requested a brief Executive Session following the meeting to discuss two personnel items.

Dr. Dubil commended Varsity Basketball Coach, Dr. Alan Lonoconus, on his 300th victory, which he achieved on December 1, 2001.

 

ITEMS – POLICY AND PROGRAMS

On a motion by Kreischer and second by Yeager, canceling school on Friday, December 7, 2001, to allow staff and students to attend and support the team at the state championship football game in Hershey, with the scheduled make-up day to be Monday, January 21, 2002, was approved.  Motion carried by unanimous affirmative voice vote.

 

BOARD COMMENTS

Rae Atherton and President Roadarmel welcomed the new board members.  Karl Meyer suggested that the administrators and staff introduce themselves for the benefit of the new board members; introductions followed.

On a motion by Bittner and second by Meyer, the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.  Motion carried by unanimous affirmative voice vote.
