Revisions to Bullying Policy and Student Code of Conduct Underway

The District's Policy Committee Meeting held November 19, 2018 has resulted in recommended to revisions to Policy 249 (Bullying/Cyber Bullying).

District IV 2A Football Champs!

Congratulations to the Tiger Football who defeated Mt. Carmel Area High School Saturday evening to capture the 2018 District IV 2A Championship. The victory marked the 26th time the Tigers have been crowned District IV champs!

State Champions!

Congratulations to the Girls Soccer Team on capturing the 2018 PIAA A Girls Soccer Championship! The Lady Tigers recorded a 3-2 overtime victory over Freedom Area to win the title!

    Advance Playoff Tickets on Sale!

    Tue, 11/20/2018 Advance ticket for Saturday's PIAA Quarterfinal Football Game are on sale until 1:00 PM today. Tickets are on sale in the High School Office. Ticket prices are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. All tickets at the gate will be $6.00.

    Future Career Expo at BU

    Tue, 11/20/2018 The Future Career's Expo sponsored by the Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce and Bloomsburg University will be held this evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at BU's Student Recreation Center. The expo will feature regional companies. The event is open to all students in grades 7-12.  Parents are welcome to attend. Attendees have the opportunity to win one of six scholarships: two for the BU Education Magnet School; two for the STEM Magnet School; and two general college scholarships.

    PIAA Quarterfinal Football Game

    Sat, 11/24/2018 Good luck to the Tiger Football Team who will compete against York Catholic High School in a PIAA 2A Quarterfinal Playoff Game this afternoon. The game will be played at  Shamokin Area High School's Kemp Memorial Stadium with kickoff at 1:00 PM.

    Southern Columbia Senior Citizen Dinner

    Thu, 11/29/2018 The Twelfth Annual Southern Columbia Christmas Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 for senior citizens 55 and older who reside in the Southern Columbia Area School District.  The Program will begin with music at 4:00pm in the library followed by dinner being served at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria.  Please call 570-356-3400 to make reservations.  Seating is limited to 150 guests.

    Fri, 11/30/2018 The District extends a warm welcome back to all alumni who will be participating in today's Alumni Career Day. Sponsored by the Southern Columbia Alumni Community, Career Day allows each alumnus to interact with students in grades 9-12, to share their career experiences, and to discuss skills needed for success in the 21st Century workplace.

    Thu, 12/20/2018 Third and Fourth Grades will put on the musical, "Toys; The Night They Came Alive!" at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium.
