The Take 5 to Save Lives program outlines 5 things that we can all do to work together to prevent suicide.The campaign encourages everyone to take five minutes out of their day to complete five prevention-focused action steps:
 
1. Learn the Signs: Take a few minutes to learn the warning signs of suicide. 
2. Know How to Help- Know what to say and do if someone you know is struggling.
3. Practice Self-Care- Make mental wellness a priority in your life.
4. Reach Out- If you or someone you know is in emotional distress you must reach out for help. You are not alone. Learn about different help options and how to take that first step in seeking help and care. Help is available and recovery is possible.
5. Spread the Word- Pledge to tell 5 people about Take 5 and WSPD.
