Tiger at a podium

Dear Southern Columbia Community,

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Superintendent of the Southern Columbia Area School District. I am honored to serve in this role and look forward to working closely with our dedicated staff, families, students, and community members to support the continued success and excellence of our schools.

With more than 22 years of experience in education, including administrative leadership in three local school districts, I bring a deep commitment to student achievement, collaborative leadership, and educational equity. Most recently, I served as the Director of Special Education here in Southern Columbia, where I had the privilege of building strong relationships with many of you. I look forward to strengthening these connections and leading with transparency, teamwork, and a shared vision for our future.

Throughout my career, I have served in various roles, including K–12 Curriculum Director, Elementary Principal, and Director of Special Education in Benton, Danville, and Bloomsburg school districts. These experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective on the needs of students, staff, and families in both small and larger district settings. From leading curriculum development and securing educational grants to launching innovative programs and supporting inclusive practices, my focus has always been on creating opportunities where every student can thrive.

My journey began in the classroom as a special education teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. That early experience taught me the importance of connection, care, and high expectations values that continue to guide my leadership today.

I am deeply committed to fostering a learning environment that empowers our students, supports our educators, and engages our families. Together, we will celebrate Southern Columbia’s proud traditions while preparing our students for a successful future.

Thank you for the warm welcome I have already received. I look forward to the exciting work ahead and to meeting many more of you in the weeks and months to come.
