Families who receive SNAP benefits and are not receiving them due to the government shutdown can still access support through local food banks, community organizations, and county assistance offices. These resources are available to help ensure families have the food and support they need during this time.

Individuals are also able to call or text 211 for more resources as well.
Catawissa Food Bank will also be having a special food giveaway for SNAP recipients only on Thursday, Nov. 6th from 4:30-6:00 at the Catawissa UMC Church, 228 South St.
Anyone on SNAP living in the Southern Columbia School District, Grovania, Legion Road or Rupert is welcome. Please bring your SNAP EBT Card, Compass App or paperwork from the welfare office showing that you are receiving SNAP benefits.
