Big smiles all around! Miss Haines' kindergartners filled their Smiley Jar (whole class behavior incentive) by showing kindness, teamwork, and awesome classroom behavior. They earned a super fun ice cream party to celebrate!

Mrs. Diehlβs and Mrs. Sharrowβs 4th grade classes went on a leaf hunt and then created leaf rubbings together. Students, both βyoung and old," enjoyed spending time getting to know one another and helping to build a friendly, connected school community.

A big thank you to Chase Compton, Grady Garcia, Braylin Smith, and Jacob Gehret from Mr. Rarig's High School Woodshop class. These talented students crafted beautiful wooden blocks for the kindergarteners in Mrs. Ivey's class, and the younger students are absolutely loving them.
The surprise brought smiles and excitement to the classroom. It's inspiring to see such a meaningful connection between our high school and elementary students. Your creativity and kindness have made a lasting impact.

Yesterday, Second Grade had the opportunity to visit Rohrbach's Farm for their fall field trip. Classes learned about different varieties of gourds, apples, and pumpkins. Students picked their own pumpkin from the field and ended the day playing in the playland area. It was a fun and rewarding day for all! ππ

First responders visited G.C. Hartman Elementary School on Wednesday to educate students about fire prevention and safety. The visit was an engaging experience, as firefighters, EMS, and police officers demonstrated essential safety procedures and explained the importance of being prepared in case of a fire emergency. They showed the students how to stop, drop, and roll, as well as the proper way to exit a building safely. The highlight of the visit was when the students got a chance to see a fire truck up close and learn about the equipment used in firefighting. The event was both educational and exciting, helping students understand the critical role of first responders in their community.
