The 6th Grade students who earned the 3rd Marking Period Celebration for their good behavior participated in a Kickball Tournament. In the championship game, Team Inequality defeated Team TDA in walk-off fashion by a score of 7-6. Team Nonfiction beat Team Equation 7-5 in the consolation game. Team members of the championship winning team, pictured from left to right, are Izzy Long, Serenity Eugster-Stanfill, Brenna Thomas, Jacey Webster, Kaylee Shingara, Addison Wittig, Gavin Trometter, Jackson Koch, Noah Hockenbroch, Dallas Brandon, and Joey Katch. Despite not winning the title, the teachers voted Addison Evans from Team TDA as the tournament's MVP.

Fifth Grade Science students celebrated Earth Day by creating seed balls. The task yielded the planting of approximately 500 clay balls filled with wildflower seeds. It was a dirty job, but a great collective effort!

Brandon Leibensperger, Audrey Reuter, Aiden Eby, and Ayden Hockenbroch were named 8th Grade SoCo Stars for the month of March.

Miss Johnson's class used recycled milk jugs to make mini greenhouses for Earth Day! The students brought in different seeds and planted them in the milk jugs. They transported the jugs outside to get some sunshine. The students will track progress of the plants for the remainder of the school year.

7th Grade Science students learned about vernal pools and the unique habitat role they play in our ecosystem. Vernal pools are a great place for amphibians, like the wood frogs pictured here, to reproduce each year.

7th grade Science students dissected earthworms to learn about their unique anatomy and biological processes. Earthworms are often overlooked organisms that play a vital role in our ecosystems and agriculture.

Students in Mr. Williams' 8th Grade STEM Class are currently involved in a unit on building robots. Students are building, from the ground-up, Lego robots. Once the robot is built, the students will then be responsible for programming them to complete specific tasks around the classroom. Students are learning the benefits of utilizing robots in different industries to solve problems.
