ANTICIPATED CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) TEACHER - CRIMINAL JUSTICE/POLICE SCIENCE - STARTING 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement an engaging curriculum aligned with the Criminal Justice/Police Science CIP Code 43.0107 and Pennsylvania SOAR Program of Study.
Instruct students in criminal justice topics, including patrol and investigative techniques, traffic and crowd control, public safety, interviewing, evidence handling, crime prevention, reporting, and equipment safety.
Facilitate hands-on learning through simulations, mock scenarios, and guest speakers.
Guide students in earning industry credentials and preparing for postsecondary opportunities.
Partner with law enforcement and community organizations to enhance workforce readiness.
Engage in professional development, advisory meetings, and curriculum updates.
Adhere to all state and federal CTE program requirements.
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Career and Technical Instructional I or II Certificate in Law Enforcement or eligible for certification.
Four years of paid relevant industry experience in law enforcement, public safety, or a related field.
Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with high school students, families, and community stakeholders.
Industry certifications in criminal justice or law enforcement-related areas (e.g., Act 120, First Aid/CPR/AED, etc.).
