Second graders in Ms. Rhodes class wrote and illustrated their first class book, called "Black and White Zebra, Black and White Zebra." Inspired by author Bill Martin Jr's book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear," each child wrote their own page in the book with complete sentences, using adjectives to describe the animal they drew.

Students in Mrs. Higgins' class investigated pumpkins yesterday. They made predictions whether they thought their pumpkin would sink or float, determined the weight of their pumpkin, measured the height of pumpkins using cubes, and measured the circumference using paper clips. The students then decorated their pumpkins for Fall.

On Friday, September 23, a small team of students accompanied Mr. Roth and Mr. Kelchner to the Bloomsburg Fair where they spent the day setting up the middle school science exhibit in the education building. The students included eighth-graders Johanna Jones, Leah Fenstermacher, Reggie Moody, and Cayden Noblit, along with Mr. Roth's senior co-op student, Maggie Stauder. The display shows off some of the excellent work done by middle school science students last year. Although this was the first year that the middle school took over the booth from the high school, it turned out great!
